The West Central girls’ golf team split a pair of meets this week while the boys’ team tied and lost its two.
The boys’ team matched up with Central Elkader on Monday, April 18, at Big Rock Country Club in Fayette and tied the Warriors, 191-191. West Central senior Ethan Fink shot his team’s low score of 43 with birdies on holes one, six and nine. He also parred the fifth hole.
Warm, dry weather with low wind helped Brady Forsyth turn in a score of 47. Forsyth parred four holes (one, two, six and nine) en route to the team's second best score. Dustin Gordon shot a 50 and Jack McDonough, a 51, to round out the Blue Devils’ scoring.
It was the girls’ second victory of the season when they took down the Warriors, 239-289.
