Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Langreck

Herbert and Arlene Langreck will celebrate their 60^th wedding anniversary on Saturday, April 21.

Herbert Langreck and Arlene Schaufenbuel were married April 21, 1958, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Lawler.

They are the parents of five children, Dale (fiancée Gwyn Kleppe) Langreck of Waucoma, Alan (Kathy) Langreck of Fayette, Carol Ann Langreck of Hawkeye, Randy Langreck (deceased), and Debra (Kim) Weidemann of West Union. Their family also includes five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

All friends and relatives are invited to help the couple celebrate by showering them with anniversary greetings.

Lee Stammeyer

On March 31, Leander “Lee” Stammeyer, formerly of St. Lucas, celebrated his 97^th birthday with family and friends at the senior citizens home in Sumner.

Three of his siblings, three of his children, and five of his grandchildren were on hand to help Lee celebrate his big day.

According to his daughter Mary Lee Johns, her father “really liked reminiscing with everyone” at his party.

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Boeding

Jerry and Joan Boeding of Waverly, formerly of West Union, will celebrate 50 years of marriage on Friday, April 20.

A family Mass and dinner in May are planned.

Gerald Boeding and Joan Robinson were married April 20, 1968, at Holy Name Catholic Church in West Union.

Their family includes son Jay, daughter-in-law Stephanie, and two grandsons. Their daughter, Jenny, died in 1990.

Adam and Nikki Luhman of Batesville, Ind., welcomed the early arrival of their son Lleyton Maxwell Luhman on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018. Due on April 17, he weighed 4 lbs. 9 oz. at birth.

Lleyton joins big brothers Cael, 5, and Grant, 3.

Great-grandmothers are Darlene Kuhlers of West Union and Patricia McFall of Franklin, Ind.

The couple’s family includes Joyce (Scott) Satterlee of Evansdale, John (Brenda) Bantz of Ham Lake, Minn., Joan (Jon) Wilhelmi of Maynard, Jim (Lindy) Bantz of Westgate; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren with another due in April.

Richard and Janice Meyer will celebrate 50 years of marriage on Thursday, March 22.

Richard Meyer, who grew up in rural West Union, and Janice Elverum were married March 22, 1968, in Waterloo.

They are the parents of son Paul (Mary) Meyer of the Minneapolis area and daughter Julie (David) Thein of Council Bluffs. Their family also includes four grandchildren.

The Meyers plan to celebrate their anniversary with their family at a lake resort in northern Minnesota this summer.
