Sharlene Geraghty

Sharlene Geraghty

Sharlene Geraghty, 81, of Hastings, Minn., was reunited with her best friend and husband, Roger, on Aug. 26, 2018.

Two words best describe her: Courage and Light. She courageously lived with and fought two types of cancer, one for over 21 years. Her grace, strength, and faith inspired others facing similar challenges. She was a light to anyone she met, whether it was 5 minutes or a lifetime. Those she touched with her light have spread it to others, too.

Sharlene Mary Easton was born on Friday, Nov. 13, 1936. She considered this to be lucky as it brought her Roger, to whom she was married for 53 years. They had five children, Barb Geraghty (Captain, USN, Retired), Joe (Junhee) Geraghty, Mike Geraghty (Jane Haapala), Joan Hemenway, and Carol (Rich) Schoenthaler.
