Tracy Robbins

Tracy L. Robbins, 57, of Oelwein, Iowa, died on Monday evening, May 17, 2021 at Gundersen Palmer Lutheran Hospital in West Union.

There will be a Private Family Graveside Service.

Public Visitation:  4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Arlington.

Interment: Illyria Church Cemetery, rural Elgin, Iowa.

A Memorial Fund has been established for the Buchanan County Animal Shelter, Hazleton.

Tracy Lynne Yearous was born September 10, 1963 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Cornelius James & Patricia Ann (Hinkel) Yearous.  She grew up in Urbana until she was ten years old and them moved with the family to Maynard and Arlington, receiving her education from West Central School.  Tracy married Lonnie Robbins in November of 1982 and they were married for over 20 years.  They later divorced but remained lifelong friends. 

Tracy had previously worked at Gavins IGA and at the Upper Iowa cafeteria, both in Fayette.  She had lived in Oelwein for many years.  Tracy enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her dogs, Maddie & Ryder and her cats, Monk & Farley.  She will be remembered as always doing things for her friends.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  

Tracy loved and adored her nieces, nephews and especially her great nephews.  All who knew and loved her will cherish her memory.

Tracy is survived by her Former Spouse: Lonnie Robbins of Oelwein; Father: Cornelius Yearous of Arlington; 3 Siblings:  Jim Yearous of Arlington,; Teresa (Delbert) ODell of Fayette &Kurt Yearous of Arlington; 6 Nieces & Nephews:  Darren (Beth), Trent (Vicki), Nikole (Mark), Bryan, Josh & Haylie and 4 Great Nephews: Waylon, Brodie, Westin & Elliot.

Tracy was preceded in death by her mother on August 6, 2019.
