Diane Shahan, 66 year old Woodward resident, passed from this life on December 11, 2020. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 18, 2020, at the First Assembly of God Church.  Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  The family ask that attendees wear something made by Diane or something purple.  Mask will be required at the service.

Diane Lynn (Keding) Shahan was born on August 24, 1954 in Waterloo, Iowa; she was the daughter of Meryle Martin and Verdine Marie (Lau) Keding. 

Diane attended school in Fayette, Iowa graduating in 1972. 

Diane was blessed with three wonderful children, Jamie, JaNice, and Brandon.  She married the love of her life Eugene Shahan on July 11, 1990, they made their home in Woodward. 

Diane and Gene were the owners of several successful business in Woodward including, the Woodward Bowling Center, S & S Storage, and most recently R-5 Custom Embroidery Shop. 

Diane loved to travel, attend her children and grandchildren’s events, her and Gene hardly ever missed a home OU Football game.  They also went on several memorable cruises.  She also enjoyed sewing, trips to the casino, and giving to anyone in need. 

Most of all she loved being with her children and grandchildren, nothing brought her more joy.

Diane is survived by her husband Gene of the home, children, Jamie Miller and wife Savanna; JaNice Phillips and husband Adam; Brandon Miller and wife Ashley all of Woodward; grandchildren, Tadyn; Catherine; Porter; Tyson; Ali; Kash; Miley; Ava; Maci; Bo; Christian; Remington; great-grandchild, Cadence; mother, Verdine Keding of Fayette, Iowa; father-in-law, Joe Little Charlie of Woodward;  sisters, Rhonda Hohenstein of Independence, Missouri; Nancy Riley of LaPorte City, Iowa; brothers, Glen Keding of West Union, Iowa; Lyle Keding of Fayette, Iowa; best friends, Kevin and Suzan O’Brien; several aunt, uncle, nieces, nephews other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Meryle Keding; brother, Bruce Keding; grandmother, Hilda Keding; mother-in-law, Jean Little Charlie; best friend, Pam Cooper.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial contributions be made to the Woodward School Lunch Program with the funeral home accepting the contributions. Remembrances may be shared online at www.billingsfuneralhomewoodward.com
