Patricia A. Grimm, 68, of Maynard, Iowa, died peacefully at home on Monday morning, April 6, 2020 after a long, hard battle with stage four breast cancer.

Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will have a private family visitation at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Maynard and a private family graveside service at Long Grove Cemetery in Maynard, Iowa.  Public memorial services will be announced at a later time.  We encourage relatives and friends to reach out to the family by leaving a message on the funeral home web site, by mail, text or phone.  

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research.

Patricia Ann Morgan was born October 26, 1951 in Knoxville, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth & Dorothy (Mattise) Morgan.  She graduated in the class of 1969 from Twin Cedars of Bussey Community High School in Bussey.  Pat then worked at Northwestern Bell Telephone in Des Moines.  Pat was united in marriage to James Barry Grimm on August 12, 1972 in Des Moines, Iowa.  They lived in Dallas Center and Brooklyn.  In 1976, Pat and Jim moved to the farm east of Maynard where Pat was active in working with Jim in their farming operation

Pat was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Maynard American Legion Auxiliary where she served as secretary.  Pat enjoyed crossword puzzles, fishing, golfing, birds, flower gardening, visiting with friends, watching Iowa State Basketball and Football games and watching her grandchildren play sports.

Daughter: Lindy (Jim) Bantz of Westgate; Son: Chase Grimm of Des Moines; 2 Grandchildren:  Ayrrian and Kassidy; 2 Sisters:  Connie (Bob) Trotter of Johnston & Cindy Morgan of Pleasantville and Nieces, Nephews & Cousins.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, son: Douglas (August 15, 1992) and her father-in-law and mother-in-law:  LaVerne & Esther Grimm.
