Janice Armentrout

Janice Mary (Erion) Armentrout, 86, of Cedar Rapids passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018. 

Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 12, 2018 at Unity Center of Cedar Rapids with entombment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Janice was born July 21, 1932, in New Hampton, IA to Russell and Leota Reinhart Erion. She grew up in Fayette, IA.  

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and were inspired by her positive outlook on life. “Not all is good, but good comes from all.” 

In addition to Harold, her husband of 56 years, Janice is survived by three children, Nancy Andreasen of Cedar Rapids, Randall (Randy) Armentrout and wife Anne Updegraff of Urbandale, and Karen Potter and husband Lee of Cedar Falls. 

She is also survived by five grandchildren, Jack, Thomas and Katie Andreasen and Alayna and Russell Armentrout; brother-in-law Harlan Armentrout of Des Moines; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Connie Smith and Teddy Protsman.
