David Omer Davidson, 58, of Saint Lucas, Iowa, formerly of Northwood, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at his home in Saint Lucas.

Visitation will be held at 5 P.M on Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at Springfield Lutheran Church in rural Decorah, IA.

A memorial service for Dave will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at Deer Creek Valley Lutheran Church in rural Glenville, Minn., with Pastor Philip Olson officiating. 

Inurnment will take place in London Deer Creek Valley Cemetery, rural Northwood. 

Conner Colonial Chapel, 1008 First Ave. South, Northwood, is in charge of the arrangements.  

David Omer Davidson was born on Sept. 18, 1959, in Northwood, Iowa, the son of Omer and Juanita (Hanson) Davidson. 

He was baptized and reaffirmed his faith through confirmation in Deer Creek Valley Lutheran Church.

David graduated from Northwood-Kensett High School and attended the University of Iowa.  

Dave had worked as a chef for the White House Supper Club in Saint Lucas for almost 15 years. 

He was a lifelong music lover, having played tuba for the Blue Banners and the University of Iowa Marching Band.  

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Omer and Juanita Davidson of Northwood; daughters Bethany Davidson of Minneapolis, Minn., and Naomi Davidson of Vassar College; his brothers, Bruce (Linda) Davidson of Story City, Iowa, Dean (Julie) Davidson of Omaha, Neb., and Jonathan (Kendra) Davidson of Gretna, Neb.; his sister, Kristin (David Zerkel) Davidson of Athens, Ga.; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

Dave was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Davidson.       3u3
