Dr. and Mrs. Lew Bishop

 

 

Lois Bergan and Lew Bishop were married Oct. 9, 1955, and are sharing the celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at the Masonic Lodge in downtown West Union.

The couple’s son, Lawrence (Camila) Bishop, of Karlskoga, Sweden; grandson, Jarrett (Lili), of Stockholm, Sweden; and granddaughter, Basia, of Madison, Wis., are hosting the event. 

Dr. Bishop is currently licensed and has practiced the profession of audiology and speech pathology for 55 years. Together, he and Lois founded and have maintained a private practice for 40 years, delivering services in a 60-mile radius to patients’ homes, nursing homes, and hospitals. Dr. Bishop assisted Dr. Larry Severeid, ENT physician and surgeon, at Gundersen Clinic in West Union for 22 years. 

Lew and Lois look forward to seeing professional associates, relatives, and friends as they celebrate this special occasion.
