Track meet moved to Thursday

The first home track meet of the season was scheduled for Tuesday, March 31, but has been moved to Thursday, April 2. The NFV Tuesday meets in Sumner (boys) and Waverly (girls) will still be run.

The TigerHawks will   have varsity and JV runners at the home meet. Schools sending both varsity teams to the co-ed meet are Dunkerton, Kee High and West Central. In addition, Crestwood is sending its girls’ team and Wapsie Valley is sending the boys’ team. Field events will start at 4:30 p.m.

According to head coach Mark Nuss, “The reason for the change was a way to get more kids involved and get a full meet schedule.  Weather also played a bit of a role, since Tuesday might have been pretty messy for field events.”
