The West Central’s girls’ basketball team has had some offensive problems so far this season. In the second half of both games last week, the offense went colder than the temperatures in the wind chill advisory that fans fought to get to the gyms.

Of the 19 points the gals scored, none came in the second half of either contest as WC fell at home to South Winn, 57-12, on Tuesday, and 50-7 on the road Friday at Sumner-Fredericksburg.

Tuesday’s home game against South Winn saw the Devil offense collect 12 points in the first half. For the game, West Central went 3-21 from the field and 0-7 from 3-point range.

Half of the Blue Devil points came from the charity stripe where the team was 6-8. Grimm and Hollinrake each scored three points; Grimm added six rebounds.
