2 Tigers on All-District BB team

Valley baseball closed out its history by placing Grant Wagner and Phil Kleve on the 2013 Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Associations (IHSBCA) Class 1A Northeast District All-District Team. Both players also earned All-UIC honors.

Wagner made the First Team as a utility player. The senior hit .406 on the season and led the team with 29 stolen bases.

Kleve is on the Second Team,  also in a utility role. The sophomore hit .358 with a team-leading 31 RBI; he also went 3-5 on the mound with an ERA of 3.68, and opponents only hitting .226 against him.

The Tiger duo were the only UIC players on the Class 1A team.

The UIC was better represented on Class 2A teams. The Cougars of Sumner-Fredericksburg had two make the First Team and three on the Second Team. South Winn had one player on each team, and Clayton Ridge landed one Eagle on the First Team.
