Calmar Trail Days is scheduled for Friday-Sunday, June 21-23. Throughout the weekend the Winneshiek County Historical Society will have railroad history on display at the Train Depot.

Trail Days starts Friday with Security State Bank’s “Cookin’ for a Cause” from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with proceeds to benefit the South Winneshiek Football & Track Complex. The event will be held in the Whiskey Grove parking lot.

The Bruce Bearinger Band will play in the Whiskey Grove parking lot beginning at 8 p.m. 

Events continue on Saturday beginning with the NICC Breakfast on the Farm at the Dairy Center from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

At 11 a.m. the First Annual Bags Tournament will be held near the swimming pool with cash prizes for first, second, and third place. To preregister, email cfsrstaff@mchsi.com; on-site registration begins at 10 a.m. For more information, contact Patty Frana at (563) 419-5070.

There will be free swimming at the pool from 11 a.m. until closing with additional activities throughout the day and a food stand.

A 5K Fun Run/Walk will begin at 7 p.m. Registration forms can be found online at www.calmaria.com. 

The day will conclude with the Calmar Firemen's Dance featuring WAGG in the Whiskey Grove parking lot.

On Sunday Calmar Lutheran Church will host a 9 a.m. Ecumenical Service with The Jim Busta Band.

Calmar Trail Days events come to a close on Sunday with the 10:30 a.m. Calmar Lions drive-thru chicken barbecue at the Depot.
