Services held for Dustin Amdahl, 28

Dustin L. Amdahl, 28, of Kalispell, Mont., died Saturday, May 11, 2013, at his home.

A Celebration of Life service was held Saturday, May 18, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory, Kalispell, with the Rev. Tim Bartholomew officiating.

Dustin Lee Amdahl was born Dec. 28, 1984, in Whitefish, Mont., to Gary and Deborah (Hutchens) Amdahl, formerly of West Union.

He attended schools in the Flathead Valley, graduating from Flathead High School.

Following high school, Dustin worked at Nickel Charlie’s, Jagz, Outback, Quiznos, Taco John’s, Lawn Care Services, and as a local DJ.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, snowboarding, skateboarding, basketball and football. He had a love for music, writing, mixing, rapping, singing, recording and performing in various clubs.

Preceding Dustin in death were his maternal grandmother, Gladys Hutchens, and an uncle.

He is survived by his parents, Gary and Deb Amdahl of Kalispell; a brother, Morgan Amdahl of Kalispell; his maternal grandfather, Jerry Hutchens of Kalispell; his paternal grandmother, Verla Amdahl, of West Union; a great-aunt, Ann Hutchens, of West Union; other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to the family and sent to 1740 Haven Court, Kalispell, MT 59901.
