Eva Marie Schmitt, daughter of Shaun and Kendra Schmitt of Calmar, was baptized Sunday, April 21, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Calmar. 

The Rev. Donald Hawes officiated, with Kerri and Dustin Hammersland and Scott Schmitt as Eva’s godparents.

Following Mass, a celebration was held in Eva’s honor at her home.

Eva Marie was born at 4:58 pm. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah. She weighed 6 lbs. 12 oz. and was 19 inches in length.

She is Shaun and Kendra’s first child.

Grandparents are Kenneth and JoAnn Timp of Calmar and Ronald and Jane Schmitt of Fort Atkinson.

Great-grandparents are Dorothy Scholbrock of Festina, Victor and Beatrice Timp of Calmar, Marie Tieskoetter of Ossian, and Elmer and Dorothy Schmitt of Fort Atkinson.
