Three South Winneshiek wrestlers traveled to Coralville over the weekend to partake in the 2022 IWCOA Girls’ State Tournament. In a field of 158 teams from all over the state, the Warriors placed 57th with 34 team points.

“Senior Riley Meyer in her first year of wrestling was able to win 3 matches at the Tournament and just missed reaching day two,” said coach Jacob Elsbernd. “Riley wrestled well and competed with these girls. I saw some leg attacks from her that I hadn't seen before, so it really was great to see her continuing to evolve as a wrestler.”
