Both the South Winneshiek girls’ and boys’ golf teams competed at the 2019 Upper Iowa Conference golf meet at Pleasant Valley Sports Club in Clermont last week. Each squad managed to take home third-place honors.
Girls
The Warrior girls shot a 451 at the meet and were led Makayla Hageman’s 107, as she was one of four All-UIC golfers for the Warriors.
Other South Winn contributors to earn postseason honors included Allanda Kriener (112), Sydney Becker (116), and Kaitlyn Theis (116). Presley Bushman (126) and Ruthie Frana (142) also golfed for the Warriors.

Clayton Ridge took first with a 389, while North Fayette Valley was second with a 412.
The South Winn girls hosted the first round of Regionals at Silver Springs Golf Course in Ossian on Monday; however, results were unavailable at press time.
Boys
