It was a tough week for the NFV boys’ basketball team. After sweeping a pair of conference games the opening week of the season, the TigerHawks lost four games last week, all on the road.

The week opened Monday, Dec. 4, in Independence. The TigerHawks kept it close for the first eight minutes, but the Class 3A Mustangs outscored NFV, 15-10 and 12-8, in the next two quarters to coast to a 52-42 win.

NFV hit over half of its shots but could only get off 28 shots against the rugged Indee defense. The TigerHawks also had trouble at the foul line, hitting just six of 15 attempts.
