TigerHawk third basemen Kaylee Jones tags the bag with her glove for a force out after going to her knees to make a stop on a ground ball. The West Union City Council went into closed session to discuss the West Union Police Department at its regular Monday meeting, June 6.

At-large Councilmember Isaiah Stansbery moved for a closed session after asking West Union Police Chief Dylan Schauer if that was okay with him. However, Mayor Kent Halverson was dissatisfied that Stansbery didn’t follow the proper channels by first going to the Police Committee or at least bringing his concerns up with the mayor, who is the head of the police department.
