Eric Paslay electrified the crowd as the headline performer at the Fayette County Fair on Saturday, Aug. 8, following lead-ins Matthew Kane and Confederate Railroad.
Paslay grew up in Central Texas attending fairs like Fayette County’s. He got his big break in the music business as a songwriter, having written a number of number-one hits for other country stars before his own single, “Friday Night,” topped the charts. Paslay was the first to admit that he moved to Nashville to pursue his career as an artist, although he realized that many of stars in country music were originally discovered as writers.
